Dr. Enrico Maria Minnella completed his medical degree at University of Milan, Italy, in 2011. Then, he completed his residency in anesthesia and critical care at the same Institution. He is currently a PhD Candidate at McGill University (Montreal, QC, Canada), under the supervision of Prof Francesco Carli. From 2015 to 2016, he completed a research fellowship at the McGill University Health Center focusing his attention on the clinical impact of Prehabilitation in cancer patients. From then, he developed an expertise in peri-operative physical and nutrition therapy, and his main interest focuses the cardiorespiratory and muscle physiology of stress response.
In this presentation issues about setting up an in-hospital Prehabilitation program will be covered. Main focus will be placed on the integration and the coordination of different health professional figures in the same care pathway.
